To take a team to North Farm for professional development is to attend to the holistic nature of professional growth. Swathed in the serenity of long valley views, participants experience an authentic scaffolding for the team’s growth. Integral to the potency of a North Farm session is their In house facilitator Jen St Clair; with exemplary credentials, Jen brings her experience, wisdom and seamless finesse to be of service to the needs of any group. There is simply nothing more you need to have to be so amply supported for your learning and development than your vision, and the offerings that North Farm so generously provides.
Deborah Collins, Conscious Works
We regularly host our 4-day retreat for our busy city clients at the lovely North Farm retreat in the hills of Bellingen. Not only is the location beautiful, inspiring and healing; but the assorted animals (goats, chickens and native birds) are very connected and friendly, making us feel like we are part of nature herself.
We are not sure what we love most – the night fires under the stars, the stone medicine healing circle, the serenity from the mountains, the amazing yoga/meditation hall or perhaps even the dogs visiting us each morning bringing happy hearts and gentleness.
North Farm is the perfect blend of space to get some alone time and also collaborative areas to talk, teach and run a program. We love the space so much that we regularly bring our clients to this piece of paradise. Our Sydney clients tell us this is the best retreat they have ever been to! Thanks Gai and Jen for a wonderful space to work from.

Tucked away in the hinterland of Bellingen, North Farm is an absolute oasis. The property is oozing with love and life – from the bumper veggie garden bursting with the season’s finest, to the herd of happy goats making milk, to the tranquil timber yoga shala. Jen and Gai are the most exceptional hosts; we feel honoured to be able to share their exquisite retreat centre with our lucky guests.
We love North Farm. It is one of our preferred venues for our workshops and retreats. Why? Well, besides the fact that the physical peace and beauty of the land is peaceful and restorative in and of itself, the whole place is set up to make your event run with ease and comfort. Gai and Jen are warm, welcoming, and professional. We have consistent positive feedback from our event participants – that North Farm is “amazing”, “beautiful”, “restful” and “healing”. That about sums it up!

As the resident teacher at Tallowwood Sangha, an insight meditation group, I have held insight meditation retreats, meditation and deep ecology retreats and Days of Mindfulness at North Farm.
North Farm provides an ideal location as it is blessed with unique natural beauty and a beautiful hall and comfortable facilities.
The combination of natural beauty, rural location and the warmth and friendship of Gai and Jen make this the ideal location for any form of creative exploration like yoga, meditation or deep inquiry.
From the first time I walked onto North Farm I knew that I wanted to share its magic, so when the time came to hold my first yoga/lifestyle retreat, the decision was a cinch.
The day was a breeze to run because everything (and I mean everything) had been thought of and provided for. I can’t thank Gai and Jen enough for creating a place where all the details have been considered. Set in absolutely stunning surrounds, with gorgeous accessible nature walks and edible gardens, a beautiful dedicated yoga/meditation shala, the use of a fully equipped kitchen, ample amenities and even the all-weather cosy fire pit with relaxing outdoor lounges. All that was left to do, was arrive and enjoy.
The various accommodation options available from ‘Boho Lux’ to glamorous bell tents give the option to create differing price points, enabling me to tailor the retreat experience for each guest. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending North Farm, especially for health and wellbeing retreats. My guests raved about the experience of North Farm and I was just thrilled with the result.

In 2015 I was charged with finding a place for a group of writers to gather from interstate for six weeks to develop a drama project for the ABC. North Farm ticked all the boxes we knew we had on our list and quite a few we didn’t know about too. Beautiful accommodation full of great attention to detail, peace-filled working spaces set against a breathtaking panorama. Hosts Gai and Jen offered a wise and gentle presence, and sustenance when needed – organic produce freshly plucked from the gardens, heart-warming soups, glorious baked treasures, milk and cheese delights from the ‘girls’ (goats).
There’s no real way to calculate the value add which came from developing our project in the North Farm ‘incubator’ – but there was undoubtedly a completely unexpected sense of confidence and productivity that grew from planting our creative seeds in such soul-supportive soil. We achieved more than we planned, we created more boldly than we imagined, we made friendships which will last a lifetime.
Five stars just doesn’t adequately describe it!

North Farm offers a wonderful space for group work. Our school has enjoyed the mindfully constructed built spaces, the open vista which gives a feeling of expansiveness, the energetic qualities of the land and the warmth and care of the hosts. Being at North Farm comes highly recommended!

It is not easy finding suitable locations across the North Coast which have the ideal mix of venue facilities for our team meetings; ease of accessibility, quality catering and natural, relaxing aesthetics, but North Farm had everything. From our PowerPoint presentations in the beautiful timber hall, to soaking up sun while socialising in the open barn space or tucking into platters of Gai’s amazing fresh, gourmet lunch, everyone on the team agreed that North Farm has to be our meeting venue again next year!
