I often recall a bit of graffiti (a graffito?) I used to pass on my way home from Sydney Uni to Glebe. ‘Do not frolic’ it said.
It always made me smile.
Just as our beautiful goats do. The spring grass makes them dance around and leap into the air. It’s such a joyful thing to watch.
It also makes their milk incredibly creamy so our cheese is especially good at this time of the year. The yoghurt is creamy, the fresh goat curd is like ambrosia and the feta and haloumi are delicious.
Many of our guests screw up their noses when we offer them goat’s milk but so far everyone has been pretty impressed. ‘It’s sweet!’ they exclaim. And it is. Just like the happy goats it comes from.
And everyone has been loving the yoghurt with home-made toasted macadamia mue
seli and fresh fruit – at the moment, it’s white nectarines from our orchard – sometimes it’s bananas or strawberries or red pawpaw. What a great start to the day!
